I Want All The Cake - Original

1,150.00

24" x 30" (60.96cm x 76.20cm)

acrylic, images, modeling paste, tar gel

"I Want All The Cake" employs unsettling symmetry of the face, an over-the-top background, garish amounts of jewelry, and the richest of chocolate cake complete with cherries on top to comment on society's demand for perfection in a woman. And in turn how that demand effects her psyche making her feel as though she is not happy unless she has everything society deems important. We travel along the primrose path of deception as though love and happiness can be defined by doctored faces and bodies, fake and over-done hair, and dripping with rocks of artificial scarcity and value. She is meant to look absurd and ridiculous to remind us of what is really important.
